Jogyesa, a temple of tranquility in the city

I stopped by while walking near Insadong. Even though it's in the middle of the city, it's quite quiet and peaceful once you step inside. Looking at the colorful dancheong and the large Buddha statue slowly helps calm my complicated mind. The lotus lanterns and flower decorations change with the seasons, making it a great place for photos and a nice spot to take a break during your trip. The temple grounds are open 24 hours, so it's also nice to visit in the evening after your schedule to enjoy the quiet atmosphere.
