Cheung Sha Beach · Sandy beach and evening stroll in South Lantau

A long stretch of sandy beach on the southern coast of Lantau Island. It is a place to escape the skyscrapers of Hong Kong and enjoy both sea and mountain views. In the 2025 travel video, I walked along the beach at Cheung Sha Beach, capturing the red evening light reflecting on the water and sand. It is a great addition to a Lantau Island itinerary, such as visiting Tai O or Ngong Ping, for a relaxing stroll. The beach is divided into sections, so please check your destination, bus stop, and return transportation in advance. Evening views depend on the weather, and it can get dark after sunset, so it is recommended to plan your return time generously. If you plan to swim, follow the on-site flags and lifeguard instructions. Although I looked for water buffalo in the video, I did not see any, so I do not recommend this as a place guaranteed for animal sightings. This summary is based on the Hong Kong travel video and location guide uploaded in 2025. The images are AI travel illustrations, not actual photos of the site.
